Job Purpose:

The Noise Vibration Test Engineer role within the 4wd Group of the Assembly Department is primarily responsible for Mass Production and New Model Noise Vibration Analysis. Activity will include set up, data collection and data analysis with a focus on bench testing for noise, vibration and function of Power Train Components (4-Wheel Drive components) produced by Honda.

Key Accountabilities:



  • Analysis of powertrain products to validate quality in areas of Noise Vibration Harshnessand function.
  • Operation of data acquisition equipment and multiple transducer types to verify test conditions and judgment requirements are met.
  • Make detailed test reports and communicate results with customers.
  • Make detailed test procedures and equipment operation manuals to train other group members.
  • Conduct analysis of product non-conformance to determine root cause and implement countermeasure activity.
  • Work with design and manufacturing groups on special projects to ensure a high-quality product at a competitive cost.



Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

Minimum Educational Qualifications- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology

Minimum Experience- ~0-6 Years Full Time or College Co-Op experience in a manufacturing related product development and/or project management role

Other Job-Specific Skills-



  • Use of data acquisition equipment with an automotive focus
  • Knowledge / Experience with installation of powertrain components



Working Conditions:



  • Overtime will be required when a line downtime condition exists. (Based on the severity of the concern)
  • This position works in an open office environment.
  • Typical workday for this Job is 80% soft side data analysis 15% Noise Vibrationbench confirmation and 5% meeting
