Essential Functions |
Patient Preparation: Get patients ready for exams and treatments by gathering important assessment data, both objective and subjective, to ensure smooth and efficient care. Team Collaboration: Be an active and valued member of the interdisciplinary care team, contributing insights and input to care decisions. Direct Patient Care: Provide hands-on care, including administering medications and immunizations, performing venipuncture, conducting health screenings, taking vital signs, running tests, and assisting with other patient care activities. Accurate Documentation: Record all patient care activities while adhering to regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance and high standards. Patient Communication: Share test results and other information with patients, as directed by the primary care practitioner, ensuring clarity and compassion. Care Coordination: Assist patients with referrals and coordinate their care with other providers to ensure a seamless healthcare experience. Clinical Maintenance: Keep clinical supplies and equipment organized, stocked, and ready for use. Problem Solving: Address routine questions and issues efficiently, escalating complex concerns to appropriate team members when necessary.

Education and Experience:
Level I - Associate's degree or equivalent in a technical or scientific field relevant to nursing.
Level II- Associate's degree or equivalent in a technical or scientific field relevant to nursing and
2 years of experience relevant to nursing.
Substitutions allowed for Experience:
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities |
- Knowledge of nursing practices, processes, methods and procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to apply knowledge and principles to patient situations.

Minimum Technology Skills |
- Ability to use MS Office
- Ability to use common healthcare practice software programs

Minimum License and Certifications |
Valid Alabama Nursing License |
