Job Summary |
Position: The Department of Supply Chain Management (
SCM) in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University invites applications for a Director of the Center for Supply Chain Innovation (
CSCI). This position will be a 12-month, non-tenure track and non-tenure eligible position within the Department of Supply Chain Management beginning in Spring 2025.
The Harbert College's Center for Supply Chain Innovation (
CSCI) is dedicated to producing highly- successful graduates and generating knowledge that drives diverse supply chain thought and sustainable business practice. The CSCI's vision is to be a critical component of Auburn University's Department of Supply Chain Management and help elevate the academic programs of the department to become among the elite supply chain programs offered at public universities in the United States.

Essential Functions |
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit and retain CSCI sponsors.
- Secure sponsorship for current and future CSCI events and programming.
- Plan and execute existing annual CSCI events such as the Sponsor's Forum and FUSION supply chain symposium.
- Develop, plan and execute new CSCI initiatives complementary to the mission of the center.
- Collaborate with the Director of Recruiting and Outreach to develop and expand industry connections and secure sponsors to support CSCI research, professional development, training, certificate development, and educational initiatives.
- Lead efforts to expand the network of companies engaging with the CSCI and SCM department.
- Promote SCM department capabilities and CSCI events and initiatives to existing and potential CSCI sponsors.
- Supervise the Assistant Director of Project Development.
- Work with the Academic Programs Administrator on event planning and promotion.
- Assist the Executive Director in shaping, articulating and implementing a CSCI strategy and serve in a leadership role for development and fundraising activities by building engagement opportunities with members of the professional practitioner / external stakeholder community.

Qualifications:
- Successful applicants will have significant professional experience and expertise in supply chain management and logistics.
- A proven leader with executive level supply chain management leadership experience is highly desirable.
- A demonstrated ability to develop collaborative and industry-based relationships designed to enhance program offerings through the creation of new industry partners / sponsors is highly desirable.
- A master's degree in business or a related field from an accredited institution is required at the time employment begins.
- Selected candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of appointment and continue working legally for the duration of employment.
