Undergraduate or Master's degree in area related to administration, natural resources, or related.
Position Summary
Discover Abroad provides study abroad programs globally (see www.discoverabroad.uga.edu). This is an exciting entry-level administrative position for someone who wishes to pursue a career in marketing and/or international education.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated, punctual, organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and meet deadlines in an office environment.
  • Have some background or demonstrated interest in study abroad or international travel.
  • Demonstrated collegiality.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and able to travel internationally for extended periods.
  • Working knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to use discretion with confidential information.
  • Abilitiy to obtain valid passport to travel internationally.
  • Adult First-aid/CPR/AED certification or willingness to complete certification within one year of hire (prior to international job duties).

Administer program logistics
a. Liaise with Office of International Education and the Office of Curriculum Systems regarding program re-approvals
b. Prepare faculty and staff travel authorities
c. Assist with group flight requests and in-country accommodation and transportation reservations and confirmations
d. Assist with itinerary preparation
e. Assist in maintaining fiscal/budgetary records and processes

a. Manage all student recruitment activities
b. Load courses and provide students permission to register
c. Manage studyaway brochures (websites)
d. Manage studyaway applications
e. Monitor student payment of program fee and tuition
f. Monitor student registration
g. Update and manage all eLC course materials
h. Collaborate with fellow office staff and faculty to aid in study abroad program preparation
i. Assist with managing administrative manuals (including Program Manual and Logistics Information Systems)
j. Organize and manage program orientations
