The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a research assistant to support various patient-oriented studies. Responsibilities include screening patient records to identify eligible participants, engaging with patients and their families to enroll them in studies, and handling administrative duties such as interfacing with the Institutional Review Board (IRB), obtaining consent, and maintaining patient records. Additionally, the role involves conducting psychophysical experiments on patients within a clinical environment. The primary focus of the ongoing research projects is on amblyopia and strabismus. The position offers opportunities for independent data analysis and presentation. Applicants should be self-motivated, capable of working autonomously, and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

This is a hybrid position, with the majority of on-site time spent at Mass Eye and Ear and one study taking place at the BCH Weymouth location approximately 2-3 times per month.
