Job Purpose

This role will primarily function as the Plant Vibration Subject Matter Expert (SME). Implement vibration analysis technics using data-driven decision making from vibration monitoring equipment and systems to support informed decision making in the evaluation of equipment anomalies. Lead and coordinate corrective action planning and implementation with Equipment Service departments before equipment failure. Promote continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and updating our maintenance strategies based on the latest industry standards and technological advancements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Utilize vibration condition monitoring technologies to ensure safety, optimal equipment reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Implement and execute equipment vibration routes in conjunction with monitoring of wireless sensor systems to identify vibration anomalies.
  • Collection and analyzing of vibration data to predict potential failures.
  • Perform detailed fault diagnoses to identify specific issues or concerns with equipment and escalate corrective actions.
  • Preparation of detailed reports and documentation of findings, including recommendations and schedule support for equipment service repairs.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to Reliability Engineering team members.
  • Support Equipment Service and Engineering teams to implement vibration control solutions to improve equipment characteristics and availability.
  • Engage and support Plant Reliability Business plans.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelors/Associates Degree in Engineering (Industrial Equipment, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) and/or equivalent minimum experience
  • 2-8 years experience based on education, preferred Reliability/ Equipment Engineering or Equipment Service experience
  • Vibration Category II Certification preferred, Manufacturing Equipment Condition Monitoring experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Working Conditions

  • Fast pace and at times high stress environment
  • Shift may change with business needs
  • Overtime as required, include working weekends, holidays, and plant shutdowns
  • Some travel, domestic and international with notice (2-3%)
  • Standing, sitting, bending, climbing, and walking on a consistent basis
