About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly experienced National and Compartmented Programs (NCP) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide critical support to NCP leadership within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Intelligence & Security). This pivotal role directly impacts sensitive operations worldwide, requiring exceptional coordination and expertise in national security policy and interagency collaboration. You will work at the Pentagon, advising senior DoD leadership and contributing to the protection of national security interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate across the DoD and Non-Defense Federal Departments and Agencies (NDFDAs) to ensure both DoD and NDFDA equities are recognized and protected.
- Employ specialized methods and techniques within the scope of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents to address major issues, program goals, and objectives.
- Coordinate with OSD, NSC, Congress, Defense Agencies, Combatant Commands, and the interagency on critical programs.
- Advise senior DoD leadership on substantive unusual problems of significant breadth, importance, or severity, providing program-specific technical and administrative guidance and recommendations.
- Develop policy recommendations, ensuring DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) equities are recognized and protected at all levels.
- Liaise with the interagency to coordinate programmatic policy and practices.
- Spearhead interagency coordination of all security requirements and procedures.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement strategic guidance to manage complex security issues affecting management, procedures, and policies. Present leadership and executive-level decision-makers with well-considered policy and management advice.
- Communicate DoD positions on relevant issues to the interagency and the Executive Branch.
- Provide the SecDef, USD(I&S), and senior officials with informed insights and courses of action.
Required Experience/Clearance
- US Citizen with TS/SCI US government clearance (Active). Applicants who are not US Citizens and who do not have a current and active TS/SCI security clearance will not be considered.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively.
- Proven ability to communicate-verbally and in writing-complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Desired Experience
- Thorough knowledge of the DoD and the IC, including missions, functions, organization, members, and relationships.
- Thorough knowledge of handling ACCM, SCI, and SAP information, including administration and management.
- Familiarity with DoD and IC Directives and policies governing the administration of ACCM, SCI, and SAP information.
- Experience working on Sensitive Support actions.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and executing sensitive operations in a DoD environment and with interagency partners.
- Experience implementing and overseeing intelligence policy programs and experience as a staff action officer on an OSD, JCS, or Military Department headquarters staff.
- Experience providing subject matter expertise in requirements, strategic planning and concept development, program analysis and evaluation, and policy.
- Experience supporting DoD intelligence and intelligence-related activities, sensitive operations, signature reduction, Intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, sensitive support activities, and intelligence community issues.
- Demonstrated success dealing with senior-level officers, executives, and appointees on politically sensitive topics or contentious issues.
- 10 years' experience working with the government.
- Military experience.
