SCOPE

You report all of the organization's fiscal operating results utilizing generally accepted accounting principles, ensuring the safeguard of the organization's assets. You counsel senior management on fiscal control & profitability; prepare, present, & interpret financial reports to senior management; adhere to tax laws & regulatory compliance to properly reflect the financial position of the organization. You provide leadership, training, & supervision over the finance, accounting, IT & maintenance departments. You are responsible for assisting in development of organization & department financial goals. You & your team are key contributors to generating AMAZING organizational results!

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accounting - Tax - Financial Management & Reporting - 30%



  • You develop accounting procedures that will result in timely, accurate & meaningful reporting of the organization's financial condition.
  • You oversee the development of holding company, bank, department & subsidiary budgets.
  • You coordinate the regulatory reporting process for the bank, holding company, & affiliates & you are active in regulatory examination management, communications, responding to requests & completing required reporting.
  • You develop, implement & utilize branch & department accounting that ties to overall financial reporting & is a meaningful, workable tool for management.
  • You oversee the report-generating vendor to ensure accuracy, completeness & timeliness. This involves the understanding & integration of technology data, reports & ensuring the right people are engaged to capture the revenue opportunities in our system.


Leadership / Management / Accountabilities (LMA) - 25%



  • You supervise Finance, IT & Maintenance personnel.
  • You work toward the achievement of the Profinium Strategic Plan accomplishing personal results in alignment with key company objectives. Coach team members to make individual contributions to these initiatives.
  • Assess the developmental needs & career paths of all staff reporting to this position & make recommendations for their advancement.
  • Conduct routine performance analysis, coaching & rock-setting for staff including annual reviews. This will include hiring, training, empowerment, promotion, dismissal & all processes involved in such, as per parameters established by the CEO, Board of Directors, & the Employee Handbook.
  • You Lead team members using both the Traction System & Profinium Effective Leadership to ensure consistent protocol & communications to develop team members.
  • You comply with & enforce organization policies, systems, processes & procedures with a strong commitment to the overall direction & focus of the organization.
  • You maintain effective working relationships with other departments, managers, vendors & employees.
  • You are an integral member of & contributor to the Senior Leadership Team which is responsible for organizational profitability, growth & strategic initiatives.
  • You serve on the Board of Directors as an executive representative at Board & related meetings.
  • Engage in community activities that assist in developing & enhancing the bank's reputation as the leading provider of financial services in our markets. Active participation in leadership roles within the community is strongly encouraged.
  • As a part of the overall team of bank employees, you may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.

Funds & Investment Management - Asset Liability - Balance Sheet Management - 20%



  • You oversee the management of the organization's investment portfolio & are responsible for managing this portfolio with all the regulatory process & reporting requirements.
  • You research & recommend alternative funding sources & ensure adequate funds are available at all times in the event of deposit balance declines.
  • You Chair the Asset/Liability Management Committee
  • Proactively Manage Balance Sheet/ALM/Investments Management Vendor relationship
  • Assists in the development of detailed Balance Sheet management reports with chosen vendor to ensure maximized earnings, managing risk & meeting regulatory expectations in reporting, compliance, etc.
  • Ensures policies & procedures are current with regulatory expectations & are upheld within the ALCO Committee.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • You have a 4-year degree in a related field (Master's Degree is preferred, but not required)
  • CPA designation preferred, but not required
  • You have 10+ years of related experience
  • You have at least 5+ years of management & leadership experience
  • Expert experience, knowledge and training in financial statement & tax return analysis, typically resulting from a combination of education in accounting, financial and/or credit analysis or related areas.
  • Working knowledge of all Operations activities & terminology.
  • Expert knowledge of related state & federal operations compliance regulations, & other bank policies.
  • Advanced math skills; calculate interest, commissions, proportions, & percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio & percent, including the drafting & interpretation of bar graphs.
  • You have the ability to work with multiple levels of management & bank staff
  • Strong computer skills working with a variety of software applications; Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • You have the skills needed in a typical office environment, including computer skills & utilization of office equipment


While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, attend meetings, etc. You have the ability to operate a computer, carry, handle & feel objects; reach with hands & arms; communicate effectively & efficiently in person & over the phone. You must occasionally lift &/or move up to 25 pounds or more with assistance. You have the ability to travel to other locations as needed. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & the ability to adjust focus.
