It's a great time to join Team Blue! We are building a road to space for the benefit of Earth, humanity's blue origin. Our company builds reusable rocket engines, launch vehicles, in-space systems, and lunar landers.

We are looking for a communications professional to develop and implement communication strategies focused on driving a company's culture and transformation. Partnering closely with our Chief People Officer and Chief Technology Officer, this hands-on individual contributor role will help connect and engage our employees around our top- and bottom-line growth goals, leadership principles, and key company initiatives. As a Marketing & Communications team member, this role will be critical in driving internal alignment and collaboration with cross-functional key stakeholders to increase employee engagement through purpose-driven and timely communications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead change communication efforts related to ongoing or new initiatives within HR and Enterprise Technology including crafting messaging that aligns with the overall change management plan, identifying key audiences and tailoring communications accordingly.
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior HR and ET leadership providing strategic counsel on communications strategies with omni-channel tactics, message delivery, and tone to support company goals and initiative objectives while also providing channels for feedback and addressing concerns.
  • Create consistent narratives that builds trust, reduce uncertainty, and motivates employees by fostering understanding and buy-in for the change, highlighting the "why" and "what's in it for me".
  • Coordinate and manage various communication platforms and channels to ensure effective content delivery.
  • Measure, analyze, and optimize the effectiveness of communication strategies and initiatives to refine approaches and enhance impact.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of company culture, values, and business strategies to align communication efforts accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant communications experience
  • Knowledgeable of change management methodologies, principles, and best practices and experience developing and executing change communications for maximum effectiveness
  • Proficient in content strategy and the production and use of multimedia (graphics, videos, still photos)
  • Expert - world-class - writing and editing skills. A detailed, thoughtful, and clear narrative writer that delivers "defect-free" content
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong executive presence and persuasion skills
  • Highly organized self-starter capable of working independently across multiple workstreams and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Can easily adapt and is open to change in response to new information, feedback, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Team player with a collaborative, can-do, and yet humble mindset that is results-driven
  • Able to quickly grasp new ideas and tools
  • Able to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on the best available information

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $182,450.00-$255,429.30

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification, Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
