As part of a high-performance, fast-paced, and collaborative team, your role will involve research to build a comprehensive CRO POV on industry trends and AI more generally related to Salesforce and adjacent spaces - including data evaluation and analysis.

Successful candidates will be able to use data to drive insights, drive & organize qualitative and quantitative research, have a passion for learning and AI, provide strategic recommendations, build scalable assets. You will have the opportunity to combine intuition for business, innovative inquiry, insights from sales leaders, and curiosity to accomplish meaningful work to uncover trends and identify insights that deliver impact with our customers and establish our thought leadership.

Sample projects and results range from developing a POV on various AI and emerging technologies and tailoring them to resonate with various audiences, distilling enterprise sales best practices with Salesforce into sales excellence POVs, reframing existing thought leadership to support CRO objectives and align with messaging, and more.

This role will also include various special projects to support CRO Office strategy and priorities.

Main responsibilities

  • Research latest industry trends that impact Salesforce from a broad perspective - CRM, Data Cloud, Digital Labor, and AI more generally to develop a research base that can be leveraged for a variety of purposes

  • Develop POVs, presentations, and longer form written pieces that can be published in collaboration with other teams to demonstrate thought leadership from Salesforce from the CRO perspective

  • Propose research, articles, etc. written by others to share on social media and other forums to demonstrate thought leadership in the AI space

  • Develop talk tracks for first and third party events to demonstrate thought leadership in this space for the CRO - including CEO dinners, speaking engagements and keynotes, customer meetings, etc.

  • Develop always-on CRO POV on AI-related topics (e.g., LLM trends, robotics, agents and digital labor, competitive trends, etc.)

  • Liaise with Salesforce Futures team and Chief Scientist team to develop a CRO-relevant perspective on these topics to be shared externally

  • Special projects and operational support time permitting

Your Impact

  • Develop and deliver POVs - written thought leadership in various lengths and formats including long and short form text, and presentations for senior executive audience

  • Create an ongoing research base and POV for senior executives relevant to driving business development and Salesforce leadership in enterprise AI

  • Demonstrate Salesforce's leadership in various forums

Minimum Requirements

  • Senior Analyst: 2+ years of analytical experience, ideally in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Equity Research, Consulting, etc.

  • Passion around AI topics and deep knowledge from extensive research

  • Strong organizational abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Passion around qualitative and quantitative research & analysis, Excel, and reasoning

  • Self-starter demeanor with a high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand

  • Strong presentation skills and executive presence, especially related to building compelling PowerPoint/Google Slides presentations

Preferred Requirements

  • Outstanding problem solving skills: consistent track record to ask questions, structure sophisticated problems, develop solutions and recommendations

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

  • Work experience in consulting, finance, or product management is a plus

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $88,800 to $122,100. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $88,800 to $122,100. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $81,400 to $111,900. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
