JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Public Health Sciences, in Hershey, PA is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator.

The position is within the Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science (TCORS), which seeks to better understand how physical design and chemical constituents of tobacco products affect the toxicity and addictiveness of a range of tobacco products including cigarettes, cigars and E-cigs. We are seeking a clinical research coordinator to assist with several ongoing clinical trials within this grant.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating a clinical trial evaluating the health effects of little cigars and electronic cigarettes. Project coordination responsibilities will include consenting participants, IRB submissions, database development, recruitment, data collection, and scheduling for study visits and interaction with participants.
  • assist with basic data analysis, with the opportunity to assist with manuscript and grant writing.

This position will require in-person work at the College of Medicine (Monday-Friday).

This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.

No prior relevant work experience required

Equivalency

An equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

Experience in survey research preferred. The applicant will be expected to become familiar and work with REDCap database, Microsoft Office and TEAMS. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and excellent communication skills are essential for frequent interaction with research participants and staff at multiple locations.

  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
