As the Yard Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the yard, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and safely. This includes coordinating the delivery of mats as well as maintenance of equipment and supplies. You will manage a small team of operators and laborers ensuring accurate record-keeping of inventory and operations.

What you'll do:
  • Responsible for the coordination & delivery of mats, equipment and supplies
  • Ensure all mat inventory coming in and out of the yard is properly accounted for in YAKTRAK and graded properly upon return
  • Ensure all safety procedures are completed on a daily basis to include JHAs (Job Hazard Analysis)
  • Ensure all equipment usage & employee time is correctly entered and approved in respective systems
  • Ensure maximum efficiencies are reached on a daily basis
  • Communicate when purchase orders need to be obtained
  • Communicate with on-site personnel to ensure timely delivery to job sites being supplied from site location
  • Complete Bill of Ladings on a daily basis and grading of mats
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years minimum experience in yard services position or similar
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Operate equipment efficiently while managing a crew of operators (team of 2-5)
  • Most common equipment - Skid Steer (similar to CAT 299), Bulldozer, (similar to CAT 320), and Rubber Tire Loader (similar to CAT 930K)
  • Organized and able to coordinate site task and maintain records
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Effective communication skills (written/verbal)


This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
