A DAY IN THE LIFE of an IA Field Distribution Coordinator

Serve as a field operations point of contact, advisor, and subject matter expert for assigned Field Vice President(s).

  • Enable Field Leadership to focus on driving sales by providing feedback and coaching regarding operations across all IA Distribution Channel.
  • Serve as a coordinator to support all Field-related projects and initiatives that focus on driving revenue and profitability, increasing sales and productivity, reducing expenses, gaining efficiencies and enhancing the Member Experience.
  • Collaborate with Field Support Staff (Business Analyst, Member Development Specialist) across the footprint to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, and virtual methods with Field Leadership, as well as with Senior Leaders.
  • Utilize Sales Support Analysts to develop and analyze data and advise Field Vice President of trends and suggest solutions, when necessary.
  • Support enhancing the Member Experience to review feedback and utilize data to implement process improvements.
  • Represent Field Operations on the development and implementation of new products and systems (i.e., Guidewire/Insurance Link deployments).
  • Participate in or lead components of large scale, geography wide or enterprise-wide initiates. Manage all aspects of project assignments from design to execution to evaluation and feedback.
  • Foresee any potential issues, address questions, and provide insight for resolution.
  • Serve as an advocate for the Field during interactions with other Business Units.
  • Develop productive working relationships with different business partners to provide solutions to Field Leadership.
  • Influence others in different Business Units to engage with items that directly affect Field employees. Work with General Counsel/Legal to ensure communications, ideas, contracts, etc. are compliant.
  • Work with Real Estate Services to identify markets with opportunities for agency appointments and locations.
  • Work with Marketing to drive business/volume to Field locations.
  • Maintain ongoing advanced knowledge of all company product lines to include Membership, P&C Insurance, Life Insurance, Travel, and Banking. Ensure a complete understanding of sales rules, compensation, licensing, and field Controls to accurately and effectively advise field leadership.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid State Driver's License

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Work experience

  • Three years of experience in one of or a combination of the following areas:
    • Managing/leading agents and/or staff in multiple sales locations within one or more sales distribution channels (Captive Agent, Entrepreneurial Agent, Independent Agent)
    • Assisting leadership with agent/staff development and oversight of multiple locations within one or more sales channels
    • Leading significant projects

In-depth Knowledge of:

  • Insurance, travel, financial products, and services
  • Financial services, travel and/or insurance industries, products, and regulations
  • Sales techniques and delivery systems
  • Business drivers, marketing concepts, managing P&L, operational processes (i.e., in-bound/out-bound call strategy) and compensation plan design
  • Techniques and processes necessary to successfully lead projects

Skills and Ability to:

  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to include report preparation and presentation
  • Providing oversight to major projects
  • Interpret sales models, results, and return on investment reporting
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovation in developing business, marketing, and sales plans to meet the unique needs of assigned locations
  • Willingness to work irregular hours

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a relevant field
  • Currently hold or attain and maintain appropriate State Property & Casualty licenses within timeframe set by ACG leadership
  • May be required to obtain appropriate State Life Sales licenses within timeframe set by ACG leadership

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience working with IA and EA Contractors
  • AAA club and travel or insurance products and services
  • ACG sales environment

Work Environment

  • Works in a temperature-controlled office environment or remote work environment. Travel among retail locations and other facilities across the ACG footprint is required.
