The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Project Coordinator to provide support of our corporate office located in Fredrick, Maryland.

The Project Coordinator ensures that project deliverables are tracked and reported in a timely and accurate manner and gives notifications to Program Manager if deliverables are in jeopardy.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain appropriate contract files and assist in the review of invoices and other reports as directed.
  • Assist the Program Manager with employee accountability, reviewing time cards and maintaining appropriate schedules of employees that will be out on business travel or on personal time off.
  • Plans and coordinates project scheduling, budgeting, invoice approval and administrative tasks.
  • Collects employee performance information assembles monthly deliverables.
  • Maintains task order schedule to ensure all deliverables on time in compliance with contract requirements.
  • May facilitate project logistics such as meetings, conference rooms, conference calls, etc. Takes meeting minutes and action items during meetings and performs basic follow-up.
  • Assists in development of presentations
  • Prepare and present monthly status reports
  • Identify and communicate project challenges and risks in a timely manner
  • Track project progress and forecast from the perspective of work and contractual budgets
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Associate's degree in related area required (examples: project management, accounting, business management, business administration, etc)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least two (2) years' experience required
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced with professional writing (examples: presentations, handouts, manuals, flow charts, etc)
  • Must be capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft SharePoint

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with the Joint Travel Regulation
  • Familiarity with federal contract award documents
  • Entry level accounting experience

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

Must be a U.S. Citizen
