What is the Opportunity?

The Senior Manager will support the U.S. Financial Crimes Chief Administrative Officer in the ongoing operation of the Combined U.S. Operations ("CUSO") Financial Crimes regional execution of the Enterprise Financial Crimes Risk Management Framework and related policies, standards, and methodologies specific to the administration and oversight of the internal control environment. This role will have accountability for supporting the CUSO Financial Crimes Control Monitoring functions in ensuring conformance to the RBC Internal Controls Management Policy ("ICMP") and enabling regional BSA/AML Officer's oversight of the Financial Crimes internal control environment.

What will you do?

  • Performs review and challenge of control assurance activities conducted using CUSO Financial Crimes ("FC") subject matter expertise to ensure compliance with ICMP.

  • Provide control assurance activity for regional BSA/AML Officer's FC program controls, where appropriate.

  • During the change management lifecycle for key controls, provide assessment of design and operating effectiveness in accordance with ICMP and ICMS.

  • Provide reporting and evidence (upon demand) to regional BSA/AML Officers to enable their oversight of the internal control environment, including the RBC Target Operating Model.

  • Provide effective performance management and coaching of staff and ensure employees understand RBC's vision and values and demonstrate leadership behaviors.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Extensive knowledge of risk and compliance management, and/or risk and compliance testing practices, including a working knowledge of financial crime related program requirements relating to BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and FCPA.

  • Strong knowledge and experience developing, coordinating, and preparing management reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience managing professional staff.

  • Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to compliance testing, assurance, or assessments with emphasis on program design, implementation, and execution preferred

  • Strong knowledge of risk management in financial institutions preferred

The expected salary range for this particular position is $85,000-$150,000 (Minnesota), $110,000-$190,000 (New Jersey) depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
