Job Summary

The Dining Services Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and daily operations of all dining venues and food service programs within a high-end residential senior living community. This includes full-service restaurants, casual cafes, bars, grab-and-go markets, in-room dining, and catering services. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional culinary and hospitality experience, aligning with the community's elevated service standards and lifestyle expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee seamless service across multiple dining outlets, including fine dining, bistro-style venues, lounges, outdoor patios, and self-service market. Ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and ambiance tailored to each concept.
  • Support in the planning, coordination, and execution of catering services, including private parties, resident events, holiday celebrations, and VIP functions. Collaborate with the leadership culinary staff to customize menus and ensure flawless service.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor front-of-house and supervisory roles. Promote a culture of hospitality, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all shifts and venues.
  • Serve a point of contact for residents regarding dining services. Foster strong relationships, gather feedback, and implement enhancements to elevate satisfaction and personalize the dining experience.
  • Implement systems and standards to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, safety, and compliance with all health regulations across venues and catering functions.
  • Manage labor schedules, payroll and inventory control.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Waited table and catering experience is preferred.
  • Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
