Position Purpose: Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all types of wire pulling and stringing equipment, heavy equipment, trailers, and vehicles used for electrical construction projects.

Essential Responsibilities

* Diagnose, inspect and repair diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, compressors, generators, suspensions, brakes, transmissions, fuel injection systems, ignition systems and air tools

* Replace and repair damaged components

* Perform engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, oil changes and maintenance checks and all equipment

* Troubleshoot, maintain, and repairing all types of heavy equipment, trailers, aerial lift platforms, bulldozer, bucket trucks

* Annual DOT and Crane Inspections

* Perform vehicle preventative maintenance

Knowledge | Skills | Abilities

* 2-4 years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment (wheeled and tracked) or trucks

* Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and diagrams

* Strong welding (Stick/MIG) and fabrication skills

* Basic understanding of DOT Regulations

* Basic understanding of iPhones, iPads and computers

* Good organizational and recordkeeping skills

* Proficient in the use of diagnostic and testing equipment

* Customer service skills

Qualifications

* High School graduate.

* Must possess a valid class A Commercial Drive License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one.

Work Environment

* Must be able to remain standing approximately 75% of the time

* Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, reaching

* The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

* Occasionally lifting 40 pound
