Acara Solutions is looking for PI Technicians to work out in Los Angeles for our partner who specializes in transportation Manufacturing
Here is what you will get:
Pay Rate: $36/hr to $42/hr DOE
Duration: Temporary to hire position
Purpose of the role:
Carry out the test of trains in accordance with the testing procedure and as per the delivery schedule
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a seamless and systematic handover process from Manufacturing, maintaining clear communication and thorough documentation.
  • Rigorously adhere to all test procedures, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all testing activities.
  • Ensure all Serial Test Procedures are thoroughly executed, and test reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage and address any failures promptly, ensuring immediate repairs and minimal downtime.
  • Track and document failures with precision, maintaining detailed records for analysis and continuous improvement.
  • In case of unresolved deviations, escalate issues to the Vehicle Lead Engineer for timely resolution.
  • Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a spirit of teamwork and transparency across shifts.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key interfaces, including Test Engineering Technicians and Industrial Quality teams.
  • Escalate any issues related to outdated or malfunctioning testing tools to ensure smooth operations.
  • Regularly review and stay informed about individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), striving for continuous improvement in performance.
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Report any deviations, near-misses, or accidents promptly and accurately to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Industrial activities related to Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation
  • Have a good technical level in electrical, electronic, mechanical and networks domains Result-driven mindset
  • Ability to work across sites/functions in a multi-cultural environment Working with high voltages (AC and DC) such as 750VDC or 11KV AC
  • Maybe required to work at heights of 90 feet above the ground Able to troubleshoot to LRU level
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge in IT tools and smart devices Be familiar with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements
