Operations Manager

At Butler Rents, we provide party and event rental equipment throughout the state of Colorado primarily the front range and surrounding areas.

The operations manager's work environment is usually an office setting, some travel to work sites may be required. The workweek is typically 40 hours, although some overtime may be necessary. The job is generally performed during regular business hours, some evening and weekend work is required during the summer and holidays. The level of stress is generally moderate, it may be high during periods of heavy call volume. The job requires the ability to multitask and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. We are looking for an experienced and level-headed operations manager to help us maintain our high level of service.

  • Manage the daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, on-boarding and training new employees
  • Reviewing and approving applications for new hires
  • Scheduling and directing workers to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse
  • Ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met, such as OSHA guidelines and labor laws
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure that orders are filled accurately, and on time
  • Communicating with venues / event sites regarding delivery procedures to ensure that all equipment can be delivered on time
  • Training new employees in all aspects of the job, including company policies, safety procedures and proper lifting techniques
  • Monitoring inventory levels to ensure that supply does not run out before demand has been met
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat
  • Follow company procedures for storage, picking, packing, delivering and receiving
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assist in physical inventories
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other managerial duties as assigned
  • Previous experience as operations manager appreciated but not compulsory
  • Ability to speak more than one language fluently, preferably Spanish, not a prerequisite but likely to be very helpful
  • Operations Manager will be in direct contact with the entire employee roster
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
