DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support New Product Development team to measure, prepare, and test pipe and fittings specimens.
  • Design and fabricate new fixtures for testing pipe and fittings.
  • Create new mechanical designs for pipe and fittings.
  • Manage the creation of new 3D printed samples, and conduct 3D scans of parts.
  • Complete mechanical tests to measure material properties and mechanical performance.
  • Summarize results, draw conclusions, recommend next steps and draft test reports

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years in a College Level Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering program.
  • Availability to work Summer into the Fall 2023 Semester
  • Experience with 3D modeling, preferably in Solidworks.
  • Experience with hand tools e.g. hand drills and routers.
  • Hands on material and mechanical testing skills via lab classes or experience
