Assistant Accounting Treasury Annual Hourly/Salary Range: $17.69 - $26.54 Closing Date: March 21, 2025, or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions Job Summary: Under general supervision the Assistant Accountant will maintain journals, ledgers, records and reports to retrieve information and reports using on-line banking software. Prepares accounting entries for bank transfers, Process accounts receivables, prepare and post and deposit delinquent tax payments. Prepares and records daily bank deposits for the Treasurer's Office. Process and issue daily check run for Accounts Payable Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The ability to work with high volume and variable work demands and deadlines. Including high level of internal and external communication. The ability to work effectively and harmoniously with others. Organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of personal computers, office machines, computer faxing which includes data processing, word processing, tax, spreadsheet software, internet banking, accounting theories, principles, practices and procedures. Knowledge of automated accounting systems oral, written, internal and external communications. Physical Demands: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Squatting, Climbing, Talking, Visual. The Ability to Lift/Carry, Push/Pull up to 30lbs, Manual Dexterity and Upper Extremity and Repetitive Motion NOTE: This ORIGINAL APPLICATION is open to qualified residents of the State of Wisconsin at the time of application.
