Position Purpose:



This position is responsible for ensuring that the Centering Pregnancy program's scheduling and registration processes are compliant and per Renown Patient Access standards. The Coordinator will ensure that staffing is adequate for the Centering Pregnancy program, as well as serve as co-facilitator to patient care groups. This position is responsible for accurately collecting all data necessary to maintain the program, as well as act as a liaison with Renown to track birth data. Under the general guidance of the Office manager and providers, will oversee all daily operations and functions of the Centering program. Position is responsible for maintaining departmental standards of conduct and excellence.



Nature and Scope:



This position requires an in-depth knowledge of standard registration and scheduling procedures and practices. It requires good interpersonal skills in interacting with patients and their families.

This position is challenged to keep a very detailed patient schedule, including ensuring organization of patient paperwork and group sessions. Must pursue fulfilling all contract and grant requirements and deadlines for assigned projects.

The Centering Pregnancy Coordinator must have in depth knowledge of data collection and must possess excellent customer service skills. Must also interact with many departments within the Renown system to ensure patients are provided their full scope of care.

The major challenges of this position are:

* Staying current on all policies and procedures in relation to the Strong Start grant and Centering Pregnancy.

* To provide efficient operations to ensure all goals and deadlines are met.

* Provide continuing education necessary to maintain a competent and efficient staff.

* Improve service to the patients and physicians through efficient and positive coordination with scheduling processes to ensure that all available patients are seen through the Centering Program and to ensure providers are supported to provide excellent care.

* Ability to work on a flexible schedule.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1. Strong knowledge of facility and grant policies and procedures, including government regulations. Knowledgeable in contract terms, requirements, and practices.

2. Strong customer service skills, including ability to maintain a positive relationship with patients and providers.

3. Knowledge of scheduling practices and procedures to maximize use of facility resources.

4. Understanding of the English language, Bi-lingual a plus.

5. Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.

6. Knowledgeable regarding information technology tools for data edits and information analysis using Microsoft Excel.

7. Adopts a philosophy consistent with the RENOWN HEALTH Standards of Conduct.

8. Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify and control deficiencies and initiate corrective action.

9. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

9. Ability to coordinate and schedule the activities of onsite team in order to insure the most efficient processes are used for daily workflows.

10. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

11. Knowledge and commitment to quality improvement processes and methodology.

12. This position does not provide direct patient care. However, it does require frequent patient interaction.

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred



Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred



Experience:



Two years experience in acute healthcare registration or collections preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.

Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, etc.
