You will be based in our Fletcher, NC location. The shift will start at 2:30 pm and end at 11:00 pm depending on the production schedule. Time shift does have flexibility to start. This role supports the production line and will follow production needs.

Summary
The PIT and warehouse trainer is a dual responsibility role. It will support the classroom and practical training of PIT operators as well as the first day trainings of all other operators. They will ensure all new operators are performing their tasks safely, effectively, and to the Job Description Sheet.

The role will work in all departments to train incoming operators. The team member is expected to develop and execute training tools to support training. They will share the PIT safety videos, track the licenses status, and execute a minimum of 8 of the first hours on PIT equipment. Fors non-PIT team members they will train to the JSD and support questions in the first days.

Your main tasks

* Assist with monitoring the performance of the processes in terms of SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) objectives for PIT operators. Drive the education & development of skills, competencies, and effectiveness among key projects stakeholders.
* Train to JDS standards in all departments
* Execute JDS audits to check understanding of new hires in their areas
* Track licensing status. Develop and improve training materials
* Identify and implement digital technologies that enhance continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications
* HS Diploma or equivalent
* Bilingual skills a plus
* <2 points on license and licensed to drive at least 2 pieces of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) equipment
* Must have a true passion for developing teammates.
* Demonstrates effective communication skills at all levels within the warehouse.
* Seeks out the best in others and builds their confidence for future success.

Physical Demands

  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to Walk and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Able to bend at waist
  • Able reach above the shoulder level.
