WHAT WE OFFER

HR Partnering is a key interface between Covestro's business entities and corporate functions and the HR function. The selected incumbent will provide strategic advice, leadership and coordination on Human Resources issues to meet the objectives of the businesses within the United States. This includes dealing with such aspects as employee relations, performance management, succession planning, talent management, compensation, EEO, benefits, and recruiting. The position holder will lead the development of programs to meet the corporation's vision and leadership principles. The position ensures consistent application of corporate and subgroup policies, practices and procedures throughout Covestro's business and assigned client groups. The incumbent will provide HR support in order to attract, retain and motivate qualified employees to achieve the business objectives and ensure implementation and application of agreed upon HR policies.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Advise, coach and consult managers below Sr Leadershiplevel in all topics of people management, leadership and development as well as the execution of organizational and personnel actions, employee development, performance management, corrective action and decisions in line with local practices and policies
  • Partner with various HR teams, including Payroll, Compensation and Benefits, etc.), to provide effective talent solutions for all employees.
  • Advise and consult to employees in complex, individual questions, especially with view on professional development, leadership, compliance and retirement notification planning
  • Collaborate and align on the execution of above-mentioned topics and local agreements with local employee representatives where required
  • Ensure adherence to established and new HR processes, guidelines and tools and evaluate those in close collaboration with HR Connect, HRBPs, Labor Relations, HR CoE etc.
  • Provide guidance and input into the procedures and practices to support the quality of services provided and ensure appropriate enablement of the line organization
  • Operate under guidancefrom the Head of HR Partners and/or HRBP

WHAT YOU OFFER

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related degree with at least 6 years of experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience includes Labor Relations, Employee Relations and HR Business Partnering OR Masters degree in Human Resources or related degree with at least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience includes Labor Relations, Employee Relations and HR Business Partnering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources
  • SHRM or HRCI certification
  • Knowledge of Chemical Industry and manufacturing processes
  • Skills in workforce planning and organizational design
  • Knowledge of succession planning and leadership development

Knowledge and Skills:

  • General knowledge on people management and the entire HR product portfolio
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate business need into HR solutions with Legal Entity Impacts
  • Experience in leading and/or supporting organizational change
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations.
  • Strong ability to work in a team to solve problems and implement innovative solutions
  • High degree of customer centricity and resilience
  • Skills in diagnosing organizational issues and recommending solutions
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
