Summary:
This schedule is 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other weekend. The Food Service Worker performs a variety of functions related to the safe assembly, distribution, and service of food for hospital patients, visitors, and staff. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: Attends department meetings, monthly in-services, and training classes as assigned. Anticipates and meets customer needs, taking appropriate steps to rectify issues. Maintains cleanliness of work areas and sanitation of department equipment. Demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude. Adheres to all HACCP standards. Alerts supervisor to any concerns, discrepancies, or product shortages. Actively supports and upholds department goals to maintain or improve operations and customer satisfaction. Works in various kitchen positions. Primarily works in the dishroom cleaning dishes, carts, pots, and pans. Retrieves trays from patient rooms. Cleans stations, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal. Operates dish machines, trash compactors, and mops floors as required. Regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by the manager. Assists with training of new employees as well as cross-training of fellow employees. Education Physical Requirements
