Pay Range: $86,000-$96,000
Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor assigns, reviews, and coordinates the work of journey level craft personnel within Hydro and outside contractors engaged in the construction, installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of electrical and mechanical systems. Ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures. Provides subject matter expertise related to electrical and mechanical field and advises the Technical Services Manager on issues related to code requirements and impacts.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years in maintenance managerial levels in industrial environment.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Industrial is a plus.
  • Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English
  • Must have basic math and computer skills.
  • Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Have knowledge of: Principles, methods and equipment used in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, relevant state and federal regulations, codes and ordinances pertaining to work; safety practices, safe work methods and safety regulations
  • Ability to: Plan, organize, estimate, coordinate, assign, review and evaluate the work of others, and implement effective courses of action to complete assigned work
  • Ability to Select, supervise, train and evaluate staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work of maintenance staff
  • Establish schedules and methods for providing maintenance and repair services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures.
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; implement approved policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the selection of plant maintenance staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.
  • Responsible to make sure all Hydro facilities comply with electrical and mechanical laws and codes.
  • Works in a team with the Technical Services Manager, Reliability Engineer and PLC Engineer to design upgrades of existing machinery.
