What We Offer

The PAT Maintenance Technician provides adequate maintenance support for installed PAT systems at the Baytown site. They also ensure the work is performed based on established PAT maintenance procedures and with the highest regard to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of online analyzer systems, including:

  • Regular calibration of the online analyzers;
  • Maintenance of the instruments in the online analyzer systems;
  • Identification of problems and sample treatment of the instruments and analyzers of the online analyzer systems
  • Troubleshoot analyzer systems
  • Maintenance of the spare parts and consumables of the online analyzer systems

  • Ensures HES compliance of all activities within his assigned plant area.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following:

  • Associate's degree in the instrumentation, electrical or analytical field is preferred, or other instrument or electrical academic qualifications
  • Honorably discharged or current Veteran with equivalent MOS Military occupational specialty training
  • ISA Certified Control Systems Technician III Certification
  • NCCER Certification of Instrumentation
  • The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe

Preferred Qualifications

  • Process Analyzers Maintenance experience

  • Previous Covestro experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • General knowledge of physics, chemistry, electronics, and good mechanical skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair analyzer problems

  • Ability to successfully use test equipment (VOM, oscilloscope, hand tools etc.)

  • Proven ability to maintain records and data, to effectively use these records and data to improve the reliability of the analyzer systems

  • Good organizational, technical and communication skills
