The Global Payments Solutions Data Strategy and Governance team (DSG) is looking for a Sr Data Analyst for Global Transactions Services, part of the GPS team which is a ~$15bn business who will focus on data governance and controls inclusive of governance initiatives, data quality / data testing, and supporting regulatory response.

This role will require a unique blend of payments expertise, an in-depth understanding & knowledge of data, and heavy program management experience to drive all governance initiatives forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive adoption of and adherence to internal data management policies and standards

  • Maintain inventory of applications, create end to end lineage for data elements and accompanying data catalog

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of data incidents including business impact

  • Coordinate with business and enterprise stakeholders on solutioning of data incidents

  • Contribute to creation and execution of GPS data strategy and roadmap

  • Support and manage data controls environment and drive calibration of data controls in Process Inventory

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of analysis and processes

  • Working with users and development teams to ensure the data is accurate, complete, and fit for purpose

Required Qualifications:

  • Working with highly complex and regulated data environment in a large organizational set up experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' of experience in a Data Governance or Data Controls and Data Management or Payments role with a Data focus

  • Work cross-functionality with technical and non-technical business partners

  • Data warehousing, ETL processes knowledge

  • Banking transaction data knowledge

  • Building and executing process and procedures as well as program management of process and procedure execution experience

  • Facilitate and provide governance and oversight on GPS data incidents including driving internal assessments, prioritization, and funding impacts.

  • Hands-on, applied experience with Enterprise Data Management Policy/Standards, data governance concepts and frameworks including industry best practices.

  • Data management disciplines, including data strategy, data governance, data architecture, data security, etc.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Banking industry experience

  • Banking business, banking transactions, flow of data knowledge

  • Navigate the complexities in a large, distributed organization

  • Hands-on or have closely worked with complex data landscapes

  • Work in fast-paced, work-intensive organization and be able to adapt to changing priorities while delivering with high accuracy

  • Simplify and summarize complex data priorities / technical concepts

  • Managing data in high scale and high complexity application ecosystems (ie hundreds of applications)

  • Understanding of applicable internal policy and standard requirements, including deep understanding of EDSGO-owned policy & standard requirements.
