The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Bone Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary or specialty medical care within defined scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed physician and in accordance with MCW/FMLH/CHW policies and procedures. This position is located at our West Bend and OSSC locations. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as part of a multidisciplinary health care team, providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for the patients of the outpatient services as a member of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The APP will have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and ensure an environment of safe quality care. The Bone Health APP is a specialized provider who focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of bone health conditions, particularly osteoporosis, by providing direct patient care, educating patients, on bone health risks and preventative measures, and collaborating with other healthcare team members to optimize bone health outcomes for their patients. May require evening or weekend hours in the future based on business needs. typically Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts. No weekends/nights/call.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in Orthopaedics or Endocrinology Minimum Education: Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing Minimum Requirements: *or eligible Advanced Practice Nurse Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
