Union Pacific is one of America's premier transportation and logistics companies, linking 23 states in the western two-thirds of the country and serving many of the fastest-growing U.S. cities. Generations of Americans have built successful careers at Union Pacific and in the process, they have helped build a nation - delivering lumber for our homes, food for our tables, energy for our power plants and the countless raw materials and finished goods that supply the American way of life. If selected as the Corporate Relations intern, you will primarily support the Union Pacific Community Ties Giving Program. Responsibilities will include administration of corporate giving software, the review and processing of grant applications, serving as a point of contact for community organizations, tracking event sponsorships, reconciling contribution information for corporate reporting, analyzing giving histories, and other administrative and project-based assignments related to UP's philanthropic programs. Communication and data management are key aspects of this internship. Additionally, the Corporate Relations intern will work closely with the Public Affairs team. As an intern at UP, you will build knowledge and experience in our core business groups and their vision, business objectives, processes, systems, and services. You will have extensive contact with peers and interaction with senior leaders. There will also be an opportunity to put leadership, technical skills, and business knowledge to immediate use through high value project assignments. This position will be administered as a paid year-round internship and provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment with one of America's leading transportation and logistics companies. The work schedule is flexible and can be designed to accommodate the course commitments of the successful candidate. A flexible work schedule includes up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hour per week during the summer months. Most of the work will occur in-person at Union Pacific Center in downtown Omaha, with some remote work availability. Corporate Relations is open to hybrid model, summer months in person and school-year remote. The estimated wage for this position is between $20 - $23 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Accountabilities
