The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Summer Intern within the Training Services Department. This is a remote position with limited travel.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

The Training Services Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain work experience in a non-profit organization. During the 10-week program, students receive training and develop their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals. The 2025 Summer Internship program will run from May 28, 2025, through August 1, 2025.

The Training Operations and Development Intern will be responsible for assisting with the comprehensive review of training operational platforms and updating reporting systems. This position will support platform integration as well as use the analysis to identify areas for growth and development in multiple reporting tools. Other duties will include project tasks, operational improvements, and data analysis.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
* Assist in evaluating and reviewing training operation platforms.
* Support the integration of new and existing training platforms.
* Update and maintain reporting systems to ensure accurate data tracking.
* Analyze data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement across multiple reporting tools.
* Contribute to project tasks related to training operations and development.
* Assist in implementing operational improvements to enhance efficiency.
* Perform data analysis to support decision-making and process optimization.
* Collaborate with team members to identify and address any operational challenges.

Standard Schedule: Monday- Friday Standard business hours.

The salary range for this position is $20.00 an hour.

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
* Education: High School or equivalent required. Internship is typically part of an undergraduate program which requires some university credit hours. Undergraduate Junior/Senior preferred. Preferred majors Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.
* Experience: Up to 1 year of related experience
Skills & Abilities:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Advanced computer skills preferred (PowerBI, SmartSheets).
* Ability to work on a team.

Travel: Ability to travel to attend in person meetings 10-20%. Must have valid driver's license

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
