We are currently searching for a 40-hour LICSW Social Worker for Developmental Medicine. This department is an essential part of the interdisciplinary care for outpatient patients and families

The Developmental Medicine Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:

  • Providing social work support patients and families with a high incidence of economic need, social and medical complexity
  • Comprehensive psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, coordination of care, linkages to community services, psycho-education on multiple issues, and management of family issues including child protection and domestic violence
  • Assessment of transition readiness, guardianship needs and care coordination with adult providers and systems. Facilitation of use of hospital and community resources
  • Taking an active role in program development, teaching, and participation in initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work
  • LICSW Licensure in state of MA.
  • Previous pediatric clinical developmental medicine experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Spanish language skill a plus

This position is 100% onsite
