We are currently recruiting for a Roaster Operator for our Manufacturing operation. Prepare Daily Schedule Silo Requirements Report, which details the pounds required for the current day's roasting. Prioritize the roasts each day based on availability of green coffee beans in the super sacks and silos. Program roasts into the computer system. Perform color and moisture tests (and record results) on roasted coffee beans. Adjust roast temperature accordingly if roasted beans are out of specification. Modify Production Scheduling Report to accommodate add-ons (rush orders) or samples. Communicate with others on progress of daily schedule. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Prior Roasting experience or completed Roaster training program strongly preferred Ability to operate machinery in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work with little direct supervision. Ability to prioritize tasks. Good decision making skills. Good oral and written communication skills, math skills and computer skills.
