Java (AWS, Spring Boot, Microservices Dynamo DB) Lead Developer-Mountain View, CA

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer with 8 to 10 years of experience in AWS EC2 Spring Boot Microservices Dynamo DB and AWS IoT. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to work in a hybrid model. Experience in Product Lifecycle Management is a plus. This role does not require travel and operates during the day shift.

This is a Hybrid role to Mountain View, California

Exp: 8+ years of experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex software solutions using AWS EC2 Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Oversee the integration of AWS IoT services to enhance the functionality of our products.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to ensure best practices are followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications by conducting code reviews and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain Dynamo DB databases to support application requirements.
• Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user guides.
• Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide regular updates on project status.
• Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards in all development activities.

Qualifications

• Possess strong experience in AWS EC2 Spring Boot Microservices Dynamo DB and AWS IoT.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
• Have experience with Product Lifecycle Management is a plus.
• Show proficiency in developing and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Display strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time.
• Be familiar with agile development practices and tools.
• Understand the importance of security and data protection in software development.

• The annual salary for this position is between $104K - $150K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
  This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
