Overview

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant for Contracts supporting the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC). The candidate will assist the MTSI Contract Program Manager, Contract Project Controller, and their team with contract purchasing and travel, tracking, analysis, and perform general administrative needs for the contract. The candidate will directly support AATC in Tucson, AZ, and remote work is authorized.

Responsibilities

As a Administrative Assistant for Contracts with MTSI, you will provide primary contract purchasing and travel tracking and reconciliation support and assist in project control needs as required. The candidate must have a can-do attitude and will operate alongside fast paced teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, pilots, and aircrew. The candidate will directly support AATC in the development of advanced combat systems from cradle to grave in an independent, high-energy environment, and must be self-starting and hard-working.

Tasks and responsibilities include but not be limited to:

  • Assist in contract administrative support to include monthly travel and purchasing invoice tracking and reconciliation.
  • Assist in travel and purchasing budgetary monitoring.
  • Assist in MTSI site administrative needs to include contract government owned materials tracking if required.
  • Research new administrative reporting methodologies and advise Program Manager in developments and application of new technologies available to streamline program reporting.
  • Assist with contract purchasing to include purchase requisitions and non-competitive source justifications.
  • Assist with government credit card purchasing and tracking.
  • Work closely with Program Manager and Program Project Controller to implement government administrative requirements to execute the contract.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years' of experience in general administrative support.
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Office Tools.
  • A strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
  • Good analytic skills and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Smartsheets Project Management Platform for data input/tracking.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a business or administrative discipline, Desired.

Security Clearance:

  • None required. Must be able to attain a Government Common Access Card (CAC).
