Overview
The Consumer Loan Title Specialist II is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting DMV documentation to ensure title perfection is in accordance with the Credit Union required timeline.
Responsibilities
Prepares required DMV paperwork for vehicle title processing for registered owner and lienholder transfers and processes all vehicle loan transaction types.
- Processes vehicle title DMV paperwork utilizing the DMV Business Process Automated Solution System and prepares documentation for submission to state titling agency.
- Processes all tasks, document submissions, and follow-up requests generated by the DMV Business Process Automated Solution System, and other systems in adherence to service levels.
- Audits and researches all DMV documentation prepared for title perfection; utilizes appropriate resources and systems to complete research and ensure timely submission of documentation for title perfection within determined service levels.
- Monitors DMV document submission received in the department post-funding and follows as to the status of accounts pending vehicle title perfection.
- Processes miscellaneous vehicle title requests including name changes and state changes.
- Research and processes complex title release issues and submit an appropriate correction to state jurisdiction for corrections.
- Processes vehicle license plate or Vehicle Identification Number inquiry utilizing the Computerized Vehicle Registration System and identifies potential titling issues.
- Responsible for DMV package file organization and System queue maintenance with accurate notations and regular follow up communication with member
- Ensures proper communication of Computerized Vehicle Registration report to requestor utilizing Synapsys system via service request.
- Assists with contacting members, dealerships, other financial institutions, and third parties as required.
- Assist Special Assets with titling issues to ensure proper lien in preparation for repo/sale.
- Answers department hotline within minimum requirement and adheres to hotline schedule, phone auxiliary codes, and follows Logix Service Cycles.
- Responsible for maintaining optimal levels of individual performance and accomplishment, which support Logix in achieving its financial, sales, and service goals.
- Responsible for performing activities in support of internal and external sales, service, and business development activities as directed by management.
- Ensures check handling is in adherence to Credit Union teller balancing standards and clear instructions are provided with check processing requests.
- Assists with helping members, co-workers, and internal customers with questions, problems, and other work- related matters in a courteous and timely manner.
- Adheres to department standards and daily schedule of tasks and duties established in Consumer Loan Title Processing.
- Assists employees within the department and promotes teamwork among the group.
- Accomplishes individual and departmental goals and objectives.
- When in contact with members or prospective members, determine needs and identify sales and/or service opportunities and connect members with appropriate Logix personnel or department and/or services offered by Logix. Maintainability to present Logix's products and services.
- Continuously review processes and recommends changes to improve effectiveness and efficiencies within the department.
- Assists with refresher training for existing Logix employees.
- May assist with various reports.
- May perform other duties when assigned.

Qualifications
Education
- Min/Preferred: Preferred
- Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
- Description: Bachelors Degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2
- Preferred Years of Experience: 4
- Comments: A minimum of 2-4 years of consumer lending and/or DMV experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
- Knowledge of DealerTrack Title Management, Computerized Vehicle Registration, and Symitar systems preferred.
- Ability to obtain Consumer Loan certification within 6 months of entering position (includes successful completion of LFCU Consumer Loan Training)
- Working knowledge of Credit Union/Financial Institution compliance and regulations
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products.
- Must have a working knowledge of credit union documents, reports, policies, and procedures.
- Must be flexible and adapt to constant system/software changes and possess excellent phone manners and techniques.
- Must be accurate, reliable, can work in a heavy production and teamwork environment, and meet production goals.
- Use existing tools/processes to solve tasks/issues assigned to them.

Pay Range
USD $22.97 - USD $34.45 /Hr.
