Job Description

The Senior Consultant, Legal Administration Services position performs various assigned tasks related to client engagements. The Senior Consultant communicates with team members, vendors, and clients, and performs various project management and data analysis functions. As the Senior Consultant assumes and demonstrates the ability to perform greater levels of responsibility, work assignments of increasing difficulty and complexity are assigned. The position may supervise the work of Staff and Intern Consultants, as needed.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:
  • Under direct supervision, manages digital content and communications through websites, online claims forms, and other digital and written communications.

  • Ensures consistent communication with vendors, users, clients, and colleagues on various topics.

  • Supports projects through the gathering of requirements, project planning, and documentation.

  • Assists team members in conceptualizing and development of new or existing digital content.

  • Participates on assigned engagements; in some instances, assuming substantial engagement/project oversight and responsibility (under supervision) for assigned engagements, including performing timely self-review of work product.

  • Completes assigned engagements/tasks in an efficient and timely manner as defined by budget and specific engagement expectations.

  • Monitors workload to meet production expectations.

  • Documents procedures performed, findings and/or other issues, and drafts/compiles work papers, reports, and client correspondence exhibiting effective writing skills.

  • Ensures quality control standards are maintained including complying with confidentiality requirements (e.g., client information, proposal information, personnel information, job-related information, etc.).

  • Complies with the professional and Firm requirements (e.g., employee handbook requirements, time entry procedures, etc.).

  • Identifies issues/concerns and communicates such items to supervisors.

  • Exhibits strong analytical ability and diligently performs assigned tasks with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.

  • Self-monitors accomplishments toward defined performance goals.

  • Proactively communicates any issues/concerns relating to assignments.

  • Develops proficiency for Firm software applications and procedures.

  • Begins to develop leadership skills including engagement oversight and monitoring.

  • Maintains a positive attitude and is receptive to constructive feedback.

  • Demonstrates ethical behavior.

  • Demonstrates the ability to learn through formal and/or on-the-job training, the tasks assigned and the ability to excel in such areas.

  • Maintains the required CPE for firm and licensing standards.

  • Assists in development of training materials and presentations as required.

  • Accepts responsibility for work assigned and follows up on open assignments.

  • Demonstrates an ability to adjust to non-routine assignments/unexpected situations.

Other Duties:
  • Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties. Prioritize and address requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner.

  • Identify opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance (e.g., procedure optimization). Assist in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

  • Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Actively support teamwork throughout the organization.

  • Performs other services as assigned.

Other Considerations:
  • Able to periodically work overtime and weekends to meet project or client needs.

  • Able to periodically travel and work from different company and client locations.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in fields related to Business, Information Systems and Decision Sciences, Data/Computer Science, Marketing/Communications, or an approved related field is required.

    Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
    • 3 or more years of consulting advisory or knowledge or prior/academic experience related to (a) consulting and advisory services or (b) project management services is preferred.

    • Possess a capacity for quickly understanding new concepts, workflows, and systems.

    • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Professionally and appropriately communicate with a diverse group of individuals.

    • Demonstrate a positive attitude and proactive nature.

    • Critical thinking skill capabilities are essential.

    • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

    • Able to work in a highly organized manner within a fast-paced, innovative, and continuously changing environment.

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and with teams.

    • Computer literate with the capability of performing at an intermediate or advanced level with respect to the Microsoft Office Suite of products (specifically Excel, and Word, Outlook).
