Overview

The Logistic Foreman manages the day to day Logistic field operations. A Logistic Foreman ensures the flow and inventory control of material and equipment for field installations in a friendly, safe, and efficient manner. A Logistic Foreman has a wide degree of autonomy in day to day decisions and can work independently.


Responsibilities

* Oversees the day to day movement of materials and equipment

* Ensures the Logistic Specialists deliver necessary parts, equipment and other production necessity for field installations are flowing in an efficient manner

* Schedules and coordinates staging materials and equipment for field installations

* Ensure inspection quality standards are met

* Ability to maintain safety standards and working relationships with the team

* Mentor and developed Logistic Helpers and Specialist

* Coordinate with field supervision regarding material and equipment inventory

* Prepare and maintain records for material and equipment control documents

* Insure standards and procedures are followed

* Proficient computer skills required


Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree in a construction related field or Logistics preferred, but willing to consider equivalent experience OR a combination of education and experience.

Must posess at least 2 years of experience in construction or related role.

A valid driver's license required. Knowledge of material control procedures and or shipping and receiving related experience preferred.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Capable of leading up to four Logistics Helpers and Logistics Specialist.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Can communicate effectively with other team members to accomplish the goals of each project.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform advanced math skills rapidly and accurately.

REASONING ABILITY: Evaluate information using measurable standards. Can read and understand drawings, specifications and schematics.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have the ability to work cooperatively with others. Must follow specific directions. Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure. Work within standards of accuracy

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception; recognize slight differences in shapes

or shading, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Must adhere to the rules of construction while on the construction site. Hard hat, safety glasses provided by Interstates.
