WE are seeking an experienced Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement!

The Director of Risk Management is a key member of the Palo Verde Leadership Team and whose responsibilities are listed as follows:

  • Primary responsibility for overseeing the Performance Improvement process for the hospital by ensuring compliance with hospital and corporate requirements
  • Responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure
  • The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed so as to comply with guidelines and standards of TJC, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS T.E.R.M. Program
  • Additionally, this position is responsible for directing and monitoring the facility-wide quality management assessment and quality performance improvement program, ensuring the facility's programs are in compliance with all regulatory agencies, TJC, CMS and state and federal agencies

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or other mental health related program

Credentials: Current RN license by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Arizona Board or a licensed Mental Health Professional (preferred)

Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience as a program director or higher-level position. Experience with overseeing services in an outpatient environment, preferably in mental health. Telehealth experience is advantageous or closely related field.

  • Must be able to demonstrate special training, knowledge and skills specific to age groups, as well as job and/or program specific competency within the first three (3) months of training, and annually thereafter.
  • Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PVBH is an 84-bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency.
