Summary of Position We are seeking aParts Attendant/Delivery Driverto join our Shop Operations team in York, PA. This role is responsible for transporting parts, unloading and checking in deliveries, assisting at the parts counter, and ordering parts as needed. Additional duties include maintaining inventory levels, ensuring the proper upkeep of the delivery/parts van, and contributing to the professional appearance and reputation of the parts department. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn. Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Transport parts to vendors and various locations.
- Unload parts from the van and assist with unloading delivery trucks.
- Assist and support in storing and distributing orders.
- Assist in retrieving orders and restocking the parts department.
- Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
- Ensure the maintenance of the parts vehicle, including checking engine oil, refueling, and cleanliness.
- Report any damage as necessary.
- Fulfill other related duties and functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience working in a parts room.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend both verbal & written instructions and information.
- Comfortable using a computer and learning new software systems.
- Ability to communicate and work well with co-workers and third-party vendors.
- Must be able to operate parts vehicle approximately 6 to 8 hours daily.
- Ability to operate a forklift as required.
- Must be flexible with shift hours between 6 am to 4 pm.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials as required (up to 70 lbs.)
