SUMMARY: The ServiceNow Architect is a technical key member of the ServiceNow platform team and is responsible for the overall platform design, architecture, security, data governance and platform interfaces and integrations. The ServiceNow Architect also works with the platform team to assist to analyze the platform impacts of new requirements. The ServiceNow Architect is the technical voice for the ServiceNow platform and is at the forefront on latest capabilities, solutions and roadmaps of the ServiceNow solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Ensures platform alignment with the platform roadmap and business strategy
- Provides consultative technical leadership to the ServiceNow platform team and other IT functions and platforms
- Creates and maintains a detailed view of the existing architecture
- Provides architectural controls to ensure the correct technical solutions are used when delivering business solutions
- Resolves technical escalations, including responding to Production Incidents and Defects
- Shares and enforces best practices at all levels of the platform from requirements, design, build, test, deployment and Production Support
- Performs demos, prototyping, workshops to promote and educate the ServiceNow community at BankUnited about new platform capabilities, solutions, applications and features
- Participates in new applications and solutions design and discovery workshops
- Works closely with the enterprise architecture team and ServiceNow platform team
- Works closely and when required covers for the Platform Administrator role
- Assists in migrating configurations across instances and upgrades
- Provides recommendations to platform integrations, connectors, APIs
- Ensure the instance health and hardening is governed on a regular basis and proposes improves to improve the instance health
- Creates and enforces data governance and security standards throughout the platform
- Protects data and resources in the platform with tools like ACLs (Access Control Lists) and ensures users have the required and correct access
- Performs regular reviews of critical systems logs to identify any failures, systems errors, broken jobs, system availability and performance is not below the required thresholds
- Stays current with ServiceNow knowledge and learning through self-study and utilizations of available training
- Is an advocate for Digital transformations and promotes best practices for improving the employee and customer experiences
- Works closely and collaborates with other platforms owners, architects, engineers, Cloud teams and technologies like AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure, Backbase, Salesforce, SailPoint, OKTA, ADP, Splunk
- Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
- Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
EDUCATION
BA/BS degree in Computer Science education preferred Knowledgeable of Architecture best practices and standards
EXPERIENCE
- 2 - 4 years performing ServiceNow administrator role
- 2 - 4 years' experience in ServiceNow solutions/Application(s) (ITSM, ITBM, CSM, HR, ITOM, etc)
- Experience with the NOW Application Studio, Application Engine Studio, Mobile applications and Mobile studio for both Android and iOS devices
- 3 - 5 years' experience in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies and frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
- Knowledge of ServiceNow best practices for managing and supporting the ServiceNow platform, Applications Development, Security and Data Governance best practices
- Strong experience in presentation and communications skills
- 3rd Party Integrations Development (Connectors, REST, SOAP, MID Servers, etc)
- Experience with SSO (Single-Sign-On) and MFA (Multi-Factor-Authentications) solutions like OKTA, Microsoft Azure AD
- Experience with ServiceNow development methodology and the Now Platform including AppDev Engine, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Mobile Studio, and Automated Test Framework
- Practical knowledge or experience with Operating Systems (Linux, Windows)
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into architecture and solution design
- Experience in multiple application architectures and supporting technologies
- Knowledge in ITIL foundations with the ability to relate concepts to implementation strategies
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator required
- (1) ServiceNow Mainline Implementation Certification (ITSM, CSM, HR) preferred
- ITIL v3 or v4 Certification preferred
