Summer 2025 Internship Snapshot

• The Internship program is a full-time (40 hours) paid opportunity running from May 21 - August 13, 2025
• In addition to your projects and tasks, New Era Interns will experience:

  • Professional Development (Learning Sessions, Resume Review, Career Pathing Sessions, Mock Interviews)
  • End of Internship Group Celebration (After you crush the internship, let's celebrate)

The Opportunity at Hand

Introduce candidate to the inner workings of the New Era brand and familiarize them with how we design product, build specs, and create selling tools while also introducing them to a career in either product or fashion design.

Projects & Tasks

• Assist in spec building for seasonal apparel and injection programs
• Assist in selling tool creation for seasonal apparel and injection programs
• Attend weekly meetings with the team to provide status updates on current projects
• Design apparel concepts upon request for various projects
• Create and present their own apparel collection at the end of the Summer
• Keep all sensitive matters confidential
• Other duties as assigned

What you will need to make an impact

• Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong foundational design and layout skills
• Experience working in a Mac-based environment
• Effective project management abilities
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow through on tasks from start to finish
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Education and Experience

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program within graphic/apparel design or a related field

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
