The Opportunity at Hand
The Global Sourcing Intern will work with the Sourcing & Production team within Supply Chain. They will work on projects that will allow them to gain real world knowledge of the sourcing function within a global company.
Projects & Tasks
- Indirect consumable cost analysis - Collect and review data. Propose potential project scope and savings
- Track quarterly non-standard (open market) fabric usage vs quarterly forecast (Headwear & Apparel)
- Support the Sourcing and development of a quick turn product line
- Vendor Communication
- On Time Tracking
- Collaborative effort on price negotiation with Global Sourcing Manager
- Product reviews with merchandising and design
- Keep all sensitive matters confidential
- Other duties as assigned
What you will need to make an impact
- Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems as needed
- Meticulous attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone, email and in person
- Strong public speaking, group presentation, interpersonal and persuasion skills required
- Ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances by being flexible and execute accordingly
- Ability to innovate and enhance existing solutions
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive person who manages change with urgency and persistence
- SAP or Sage Fixed Assets experience a plus but not required
Education and Experience
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program within Supply Chain Management or a related field

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
