We are seeking a Manager Finance Co-Pilot to join our team in Arlington, VA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving our financial performance and strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for reviewing monthly performance, developing action plans, and leading cross-functional projects to ensure sustainable and profitable growth. Responsibilities:
- Review monthly performance, identify risks to targets, develop action plans, and compile performance commentary for senior management.
- Run monthly forecasting meetings, develop financial forecasts, and assess risks and opportunities for accurate business performance outlooks.
- Support business innovation and renovation, including manufacturing and sales structure modeling, and compile financial data for new product development.
- Lead projects to improve operating costs or grow the business sustainably and profitably.
- Create, analyze, and communicate P&Ls, and make recommendations to optimize business cases and work with divisional finance for successfully transitioning projects to the businesses
- Manage cross-functional efforts to evaluate and select Enterprise Big Bets for incremental investment, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Project Management, Strategy, Finance, Consumer Insights, and Innovation teams.
- Co-lead Enterprise Innovation Portfolio Optimization by working with the Project Management and Division pipeline owners to reduce low ROI projects and encourage investment in high ROI projects.
- Provide visibility to executive leadership on the health of the Enterprise Innovation Pipeline by working with the Project Management Office to deliver quarterly reports on portfolio status and KPIs.
- Lead and manage the submission process for current and future Innovation Technology Business Cases, including conducting cost/benefit analyses for review and approval, ensuring alignment with Functional Finance and Leadership.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as requested by leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of experience required within Finance
- Strong bias for action and results
- Strong finance or accounting background, superior communication and people skills, ability to learn quickly, a solid understanding FMCG/CPG and the ability to deliver high performance work both within a team and independently
- Experience interacting and influencing various levels of the organization including top executives
- Budgeting/forecasting experience required, familiarity with financial systems and tools
- Self-starter with superior interpersonal skills, the ability to learn quickly, a have a high level of agility to deliver high performance across projects and responsibilities
- Experience managing cross-functional projects end-to-end
