Description

The Oregon brands of A to Z Wineworks, REX HILL and Erath, established 20, 40 and over 50 years respectively, have independently earned reputations for creating classic Oregon wines of quality and value. This paid seasonal position, working with our three Oregon brands, is ideal for anyone who desires a career in a viticulture-related profession. The internship begins in mid-May and continues through the end of October. You will work with seasoned Viticulturists who are passionate about their craft, and are willing to share their knowledge. You will work on projects that will strengthen your understanding of viticulture practices and have the opportunity to visit vineyards across Oregon, building your knowledge of farming practices, while contributing to the 2025 vintages of our three Oregon brands.

Job Responsibilities Include:



  • Track phenology, weather, collect data, and prepare yield
  • Conduct sampling of plant tissue &
  • Scout for pests and
  • Participate in vineyard experiments, including implementation, monitoring, and data
  • Assist the teams with harvest sampling, lab processing, and daily vineyard


Position Requirements:



  • Previous experience in vineyard or related work is preferred, but not required; working towards a degree in the industry is also a plus.
  • Familiarity with Excel and basic data entry required, GPS and Mapping
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and uneven terrains as well as ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be available to work at least 40 hours week, and up to an additional 10+ hours/week during peak times of work (harvest, July-September), including early mornings and long days.
  • Position requires on-site presence at vineyard and winery sites, and the ability to travel to and from a variety of vineyard locations throughout the state of Oregon. May include some overnight stays.
  • Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, and possess a valid driver license, reliable transportation, and appropriate registration and insurance.
  • Driving record must meet company insurance requirements and will be subject to background check.


Your Compensation:

$19 per hour DOE
