About the Team / Role The Financial Insights team plays a pivotal role in WEX's strategic decision-making process. By providing accurate and timely financial data, the team enables leadership to make informed decisions that drive the company's growth and profitability. The team's collaborative approach ensures that financial insights are integrated across all business units, supporting WEX's commitment to excellence and innovation. This role is flexible to be based out of Portland, ME, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, and the San Francisco Bay area. How you'll make an impact
Perform data analysis and exploration, and create data visualizations of financial data from various sources while ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Translate business data into metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor financial performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights and data-driven recommendations Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identify trends and patterns to inform business strategies. Work collaboratively with team members and business stakeholders to identify, define, & prioritize opportunities for data solutions to improve & enhance business processes Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analyses. Experience you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Recommended 5-7 years of experience in data analysis or a related role working with business stakeholders to deliver data solutions Proficiency in tools such as Alteryx, Dataiku and visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI. Experience in SQL, Snowflake and AWS is highly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance (Data, Business) stakeholders Ability to perform in-depth data analysis and tell stories with the data Excellent communication skills to present findings effectively. Ability to work at pace in a higher pressure environment
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
