In this role, you will provide excellent finance business support and advisory to the Marketing team and business in the Life Science Group (LSG) through strong functional expense management and driving cross functional sales and gross margin growth. Responsible for providing financial direction, guidance, oversight, and support for the LSG Marketing organization.

You will support operational analysis for growth/profitability and projects/programs as requested by LSG management; coordinate with other Finance, and FP&A teams to develop the LSG storyline and narrative; and ensure all accounting and financial reporting is in accordance with GAAP and the Corporate Accounting Manual requirements.

How You'll Make An Impact:

Planning and Forecasting: Support the development of the annual and strategic plan along with any interim forecasts or plans as required. Work with the LSG marketing leaders to develop, document and present detailed plans that support revenue growth. Support the LSG marketing team in making ad hoc analysis, providing significant financial guidance, risk and impact analysis.

Financial Reporting: Provide business specific inputs into monthly Variance Review, Quarterly Analysis and other activities associated with the monthly, quarterly and year end accounting closes. Presentation of results to Business Partner. Deliver finance support to leadership team that enable decision making and delivery of financial targets. Evaluate forward looking financial risk & opportunities to close gaps or maximize profitability.

Portfolio Management Support: Review Finance Model and ROI calculations, specifically partnering with R&D teams to develop robust sales/margin analysis for new products. Support operational analysis for profitability including the IPM process, New Products Development, Marketing initiatives, geographic expansion, revenue/registration programs, and projects/programs as requested by LSG management or the Core teams.

Product Portfolio financial strategy and analysis: Develop in conjunction with business partner, financial strategy to support profitability, product rationalization, monitor price erosion, standard cost and mix for portfolio profitability maximization distribution channel optimization. Support analysis for close loop in project, optimize net working capital

What You Bring:



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred but not required.
  • Work Experience: 8+ years of applicable experience. Experience with multinational public company. SAP, EPM experience preferred.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong financial acumen to provide significant financial guidance for LSG.
  • Strong problem solving skills with a methodical, data-driven approach.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to translate financial data into actionable and clear business narratives and objectives.
  • Able to present complex financial data with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Able to lead staff with strong direction through focused department and individual objectives combined with an open attitude towards new ideas. Evaluate growth needs for the staff, and continuous coaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple levels of management in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to obtain complete and accurate information and explanations from a variety of sources.
  • Ability to tell the story behind the information shared.
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP accounting.
  • Strong Excel skills required.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $153,100 to $210,600 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
