Thanks to our amazing partners, donors, and incredible community members, we have been making waves in Minneapolis, serving over a thousand families since 2007.

Founded as a non-profit in 2007, the mission of V3 Sports mission is to elevate our community through wellness, fitness and education. In 2024, V3 Sports opened Phase One of the V3 Center, a 40,000 square foot health and wellness center that will grow to be a North Minneapolis community asset and a regional destination. The focus of Phase One is to provide a place for Northside residents of all ages to access water, state of the art fitness equipment, physical rehabilitation and enjoy healthy and delicious food offerings.

Phase Two, which V3 Sports is actively fundraising for, will be a regional destination for sporting events, career fairs, community events, and other drivers of economic stability. At the V3 Center, Northside young people and families will access programming that supports their career and economic aspirations and builds the skills they need to make their dreams reality.

Schedule

This role requires working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Wages and Benefits

$26.50 - $31.25 per hour; generous paid time off (PTO), plus 11 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance. There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. V3 Sports sponsors a retirement plan with a 4% employer match and immediate vesting.

V3 Sports teaches youth and adults to conquer their fear of water, mentoring teens as they develop life skills through athletic training and bringing communities together through health and wellness. V3 Sports' vision is to be a destination in North Minneapolis that uplifts mind, body and spirit; compelling individuals and communities toward excellence and Victory in Three. The Business Operations Associate at V3 Sports will perform general administrative activities including large purchasing requests, office supplies inventory and requests, new employee on-boarding and off-boarding, project management support, general business operations support, and will serve as key point of contact for V3's contracted HR Business Partners.

Responsibilities will include the following:



  • Assisting V3 Sports with various programmatic and administrative needs by applying knowledge of V3 Sports services and staff.
  • Coordinating all staff functions, including scheduling meetings, making spaces available, and communicating events and happenings around the building.
  • Ordering office supplies, reviewing inventory, maintaining procedures for ordering, and ensuring the team understands and utilizes these processes.
  • Supporting the creation of centralized tools and resources for employees related to their roles at V3 Sports.
  • Managing internal staff apparel orders and overseeing donation management.
  • Supporting the Business Operations Director with project management activities.
  • Acting as a liaison to V3's HR Business Partners and collaborating on internal HR functions.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on HR systems and providing support to internal staff.
  • Coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding processes, checklists, and supporting data collection.
  • Collaborating with the HR Business Partner to design and launch yearly Employee Engagement Surveys.
  • Analyzing internal processes and recommending or implementing procedural or policy changes to improve operations, such as supply adjustments or record disposal.
  • Collaborating with leadership to create, plan, and execute organizational strategies and initiatives to support the culture, employees, and overall employment experience at V3 Sports.
  • Planning, developing, and implementing recognition, retention, and motivation programs for staff.



Who You Are



  • You have a high school diploma or GED (required).
  • You bring three or more years of human resources experience, ideally in a newly established organization.
  • You have experience in the human services nonprofit sector (preferred).
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field (preferred).
  • You can lift up to 30 pounds to occasionally lift file boxes and move office supplies short distances (up to 100 feet).
  • You are proficient with technology and systems and can master and organize information infrastructures.
  • You can create systems and document internal processes to improve efficiency.
  • You excel at taking the initiative to solve problems, using research and relationships to make informed decisions and propose solutions.
  • You work independently without extensive supervision while effectively collaborating with others to develop community-centered solutions.
  • You deliver exceptional customer service.
  • You are highly organized and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • You know how to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • You have an exceptional eye for detail, ensuring accuracy, follow-through, and customer satisfaction.
  • You have strong skills in MS Office programs like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • You are familiar with basic Excel reporting functions.
  • You possess a broad knowledge of office functions and equipment.
  • You are able and willing to maintain current CPR, First Aid, AED, and BBP certifications. (For new hires, training will be provided during onboarding.)
  • You have a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet V3 Sports' driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
