Truss Design Manager - MiTek

The Truss Design Manager is responsible for overseeing the design of roof and floor truss components. This position requires extensive experience with MiTek and previous experience in managing design teams.

In additions to technical expertise, this role involves direct oversight of the design team, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.

Strong leadership and mentorship skills are essential, as the Design Manager is responsible for developing team members, refining processes, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment. This role also requires frequent customer interaction, including addressing design concerns, providing solutions, and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure project success.

Interpretation and design of engineered components and panels from architectural prints to produce placement layouts and engineered truss drawings.

Supervise and direct designers' work to ensure accurate designs.

Scheduling design work.

Managing and resolving customer related design issues and other miscellaneous design issues.

Developing designer's skills to enable them to advance through the design levels.

Effective communication with other teams, including sales, production, customer service and management

Database software

Spreadsheet and internet software

Respond to common inquiries, and/or resolve complaints, from customers
