As a Spotter Lead, you will provide leadership and direction to spotters, assist and support staff with their responsibilities, spot trailers on the lot or at the warehouse dock doors per instructions from the operations clerks.

WHAT YOU'LL DO


  • Coordinate Trailer Spotting
  • Schedule responsibilities of spotters, and providing coverage when needed
  • Move trailers between pads, doors, and buildings in a timely manner
  • Inspect, provide basic maintenance, fueling, and report issues on spotter tractors
  • Leads continuous improvements while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste

YOU MUST HAVE


  • High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience
  • CDL with HAZMAT certification
  • Safe driving record
  • Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to safely operate power equipment
  • Ability to pass a standard physical abilities test to ensure you can meet the physical demands of the job

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE


  • Previous trailer spotting experience

  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to use laptop and peripherals for long periods of time
  • Occasional overnight travel to internal and industry events.
  • Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train

ROLE SPECIFICS


  • Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Hours: 6:30pm - 5:00am
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions

  • Extensive movement in and out of a trailer cab
